Pleasefollow the steps carefully.. Turn the computer off completely. Unplug the AC charger. Start the computer using battery only. Run for a few minutes & test a few applications. Turn the computer off completely. Plug the AC charger in. Start the computer in AC mode. If the steps above didnt work then try the second option.

Mylaptop model is Hp Notebook. So, I bought a new battery, but once i use it, my laptop will not turn on. so, I expect the battery is drain, then i plug in and the laptop turned on. Then, i check the battery icon and it show "98% available (plugged in, not charging)". But, when I remove the charger, my laptop turn off immediately.

Remove the battery off the laptop then connect just the AC adapter and see if it will stay on. - While the laptop is on put the battery back in and see if it will charge normally. - Do also try doing a battery calibration that may also help.
